The post-season began in earnest this week and despite the amazing level of success achieved almost across the board at Newtown High School this spring, it did not go all that well.
The baseball team was stopped, 2-0, by Bunnell in the SWC quarterfinals; the girls' and boys' track and field teams finished fourth and sixth, respectively, in their conference championships meets; and the SWC defending champion girls' tennis team was swept by Weston in the conference team semi-finals.
